The success of Hindi movies

The movies' industry in india is the most important in the world.It produces more than 700 films per year so 4 times more than Hollywood and attract a huge number of spectators.
But why such a success in India, from Irak to Indonesia and from Nigeria to Egypt? Why don't we know almostly anything about this kind of movie? It has the reputation to be superficial without an artistic creativity and pure commercial. But this isn't really true, and the huge success of such kind of movies is the proof.
The main specificity of these movies that they contain music scenes, choregraphy and songs.
The occident is now developping more and more interest in Bollywood movies.
The presentation of "Devdas" in Cannes festival 2002 and its dvd release is the main proof that Bollywood movies has to be exported to occident.
